Hi Jenny

I made your block this weekend and thought you might like to see if before I posted it. So, here it is...

Hope you all had a nice long weekend. We have had today off for the Queen's Birthday. The weather here has been lovely all weekend which has been great.

I just made Cornish Pasties for lunch in celebration of the Queen's Birthday. Gosh they were nice! if they didn't have so much fat in them from the pastry I would make them every week.

  2. The Queen has many birthday days and the Commonwealth countries choose their own. In NZ the Queen's birthday is celebrated the first Monday in June and in Australia it depends on what state you live in as to which day the Queen has a birthday, but you lived in Sydney so when do they have theirs? I believe Western Australia celebrates it at a different time to NZ =) Now that you have raised the question I will have to google why we chose the first Monday of June now... watch this space.

  4. Yes we are. The poor thing being 60 years on the Throne and having to be nice to people all that time. We watched the concert that they held outside of Buckingham Palace at the weekend last night (delayed coverage). It was really good, Gary Barlow did a super job of organising it all. Makes me very homesick! =)
